About the World Seafood Congress
The World Seafood Congress is a biennial event that brings together global leaders in the seafood industry, showcasing the latest innovations and technologies under one roof. Organized by the International Association of Fish Inspectors (IAFI), this congress represents the pinnacle of fish inspection expertise, international trade and international collaboration.
The World Seafood Congress 2025 will provide a platform for in-depth discussions and the latest developments on the future of the global seafood industry, and will help create awareness and promote best practices in fishery and aquaculture sector safety, equity and sustainability in trade”.
The event will also create awareness and promote best practices in inspection methodologies, sustainability, and trade activities relevant to the global seafood industry and the IAFI network. Expected participants include industry, regulators, policymakers, academia, researchers, NGOs, supply chain stakeholders, logistics and trade.
Since its inception, the World Seafood Congress has been hosted by countries renowned for their contributions to the seafood industry, including the USA, Canada, the UK, Iceland, Malaysia, and Portugal. In 2025, for the first time, this distinguished event will be held in India, hosted by PDA Ventures Private Limited, a leading professional trade show and conference organising company based in Bangalore.
